Founder & Managing Director
Ariel Almeida
Mr. Almeida has had extensive experience in private equity and real estate investments. Prior to founding Huma Capital, Mr. Almeida was COO of BlueMacaw, where he helped build the independent real estate asset manager from zero AuM in 2019 to nearly US$400 million by 2022. Prior to that, Mr. Almeida was part of BTG Pactual’s private equity group where he was involved in transactions representing nearly US$2 billion in invested capital across a wide range of asset classes and sectors. Following his experience at BTG Pactual, Mr. Almeida assumed leadership roles within the Kraft Heinz Company, a portfolio company of 3G Capital and Berkshire Hathaway. Mr. Almeida received a Bachelor of Business Administration from FGV-EAESP in São Paulo and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Tadeu Ferreira
Mr. Ferreira has been working within the private equity real estate market for over eight years, where he has worked throughout the entire life cycle of real estate assets, including developments, leasing, refinancing, management and dispositions. Prior to co-founding Huma Capital, Mr. Ferreira was Partner at BlueMacaw, where he was directly responsible for all real estate acquisitions. Before that, Mr. Ferreira worked at Hemisfério Sul Investimentos. Mr. Ferreira received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Escola Politécnica at Universidade de São Paulo.

Joaquim Segall
Mr. Segall has been working within the private equity real estate market for most of his career. Prior to becoming a partner at Huma Capital, Mr. Segall was an Associate at BlueMacaw where he was involved in a wide array of real estate transactions, particularly within the logistics and office sectors. Prior to that, Mr. Segall worked at Compass Group Asset Management focusing on the analysis of global managers’ products. Mr. Segall received a Bachelor of Business Administration from FGV-EAESP in São Paulo with passage through SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea.

Rodrigo Andrade
Mr. Andrade is in the real estate industry since 2020. As an Analyst at BlueMacaw he was involved in the fund of funds and direct real estate investment strategies. Mr. Andrade received a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from FGV-EAESP in São Paulo.

Manuela Aguiar
Mrs. Aguiar has been working within the real estate market for over fifteen years, with experience in transactions across a variety of sectors and deal sizes. Prior to co-founding Huma Capital, Mrs. Aguiar successfully created Monetai, an independent asset manager focused on the real estate credit market that was later acquired by BlueMacaw. At BlueMacaw, Mrs. Aguiar was Partner and General Counsel. Prior to that, Mrs. Aguiar held senior positions at RB Capital and BTG Pactual. Mrs. Aguiar's areas of expertise include real estate, structured credit, and capital markets. Mrs. Aguiar received a Bachelor of Law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo and holds post-graduate and MBA degrees from FGV-LAW and Universidade de São Paulo.

Rodrigo Alcântara
Mr. Alcântara has had extensive experience in fund operations. Prior to joining Huma Capital, Mr. Alcântara was member of the Asset Management team at BlueMacaw, where he conducted operations and leasing of real estate properties. Prior to that, Mr. Alcântara worked with credit research and alternative investments operations at XP Investimentos and Vision Brazil Investments. Mr. Alcântara received a Bachelor of Economics from Insper in São Paulo.
